Soul of a Leaf

Why is it that a soul can weigh as much as a freighter,
As solid as an anchor of driven steel
And as mighty as the roar of a thunder strike

Yet fall and fly as a leaf in deep autumn
When life plucks it from its tree of hope
And sails it away on the wind of destiny,
as it was a paper boat on a rain soaked day
